Pencil Fanart! A rare thing indeed for me these days. I wanted to do this digitally but wasn't prepared for another slog when I knew I could do something almost as nice in about 2-3 hours.
It's Haar from Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn. He's a fairly minor character, recruitable as a Dracoknight (airborne wyvern cavalry)(and upgrades to a awesome Dragonlord later on). His trademark being his eyepatch and hypersomnia. In other words he'd just rather be asleep most of the time, and is rumoured to sleep even when flying his wyvern.
I for one think he has his priorities right!
In my playthrough he was a very powerful unit, but was vulnerable to magic and got splattered on the very last level, just a handful of turns from victory. I was devastated but was sooo close to the end that I didn't want to restart. Plus character death in reasonable amounts adds some drama.
Done with my usual technique of HB mechanical pencil, 2B pencil and fineliner pen, touched up and shaded more in photoshop.
His hair should be longer/messier but I just can't draw that on males without it looking weird.
how long dose it normaly take you to do a drawing? would you geuss?

Oh don't worry, it gets to me as well. The early stages of my digital pics have a high risk of me giving up if I can't see it working out.
The comic takes me a long time to do the lines but I've got really efficient at greying it in and shading. Even so it takes around 3 hours for everything and I almost always spread it out over 2-3 days.
